What is so different about the Hydratherma Naturals, Healthy Hair Care Product Collection?
A. Moisture, Moisture, Moisture! The number one problem that causes breakage is dry and brittle hair. Hair that is "thirsty" needs products that will penetrate the hair shaft and instill moisture into each strand. Chemically processed hair tends to be drier and easily broken therefore, it tends to be much more reliant on moisture. Resolving the "dry hair problem" is the key to having healthy hair. Our products uniquely infuse the hair with moisture while restoring the strength of hair that has been weakened by chemical processing. Our products also instill protein into the hair to strengthen the hair so that a good moisture / protein balance will be maintained. This is a very important factor in obtaining and maintaining healthy hair.
B. Our products help you to maintain a moisture / protein balance. Too much protein can cause breakage and too much moisture (in the absence of protein) can also cause breakage. We help you to take the guess work out of it. If used as directed, you hair will eventually fall into a healthy moisture / protein balance which will result in healthier hair and length retention.
C. All of our products are natural based. We use only the highest quality natural oils, butters and extracts in all of our products and we use no mineral oil and petrolatum. Mineral oil and petrolatum based products are not good for the hair and only coat the hair shaft not allowing moisture of any form to penetrate. Can you give me step by step instructions for using all of the Hydratherma Naturals Hair Products?
All of the Hydratherma Naturals Healthy Hair Care Products in the collection are designed to act synergistically. Here are step by step instructions on how to use all of the products jointly.
Step 1. Shampoo once with the Hydratherma Naturals, Gentle Amino Clarifying Shampoo to remove residue and product build-up. This shampoo gently removes residue left on the hair shaft and scalp. Clarifying the hair will allow it to readily absorb moisture from deep conditioning. This product also strengthens the hair with wheat amino acids and is extremely gentle.
Step 2. Use Hydratherma Naturals, Moisture Boosting Shampoo for your second lather. This shampoo infuses the hair with moisture while detangling the hair.
Step 3. Use Hydratherma Naturals, Moisture Boosting Deep Conditioning Treatment or Hydratherma Naturals, Amino Plus Protein Deep Conditioning Treatment. These products should be alternated every other week. It is important to provide you hair with moisture and protein. Alternating the protein and moisturizing conditioning treatments will provide your hair with a moisture / protein balance. Sit under dryer for 10 - 20 minutes for deep / penetrating conditioning. (Recommended)
Step 4. Apply Hydratherma Naturals, Moisture / Protein Balance Leave-In Conditioner. Apply a quarter size portion to wet / towel dried hair concentrating on hair ends.
Step 5. Apply a dime size amount of Hydratherma Naturals, Daily Moisturizing Growth Lotion to wet hair. Concentrate on hair ends.
Step 6. Apply 5 - 6 drops of Hydratherma Naturals, Hair Growth Oil to wet / towel dried hair to seal in moisture.
Step 7. Style hair.
Where did the name Hydratherma come from?
"Hydra" is derived from the word hydro meaning water - which is the supreme form of moisture. All of the Hydratherma Naturals hair care products are water based, excluding the hair oil which contain no water. Therma is derived from the word heat. With all of our conditioning treatments, we recommend that you sit under the hood hair dryer for 10-20 minutes. This will allow for deeper penetration of the moisturizing and /or protein conditioning treatments into the hair shaft.
Why do I have to keep my hair moisturized?
Your hair's natural moisture level should be 8%. When your hair 's moisture level falls below this --- which naturally occurs, we must moisturize to replace the lost moisture and retain the 8% moisture level. Our scalp naturally secretes sebum which moisturizes the hair but when the hair grows past the neck, the sebum can't travel down the whole hair shaft. Because of this, we must moisturize the ends of the hair to prevent dryness. Hydratherma Naturals hair products will help you maintain the 8% moisture level in the hair.
Do I have to use all of the Hydratherma Naturals, Hair Care Products to see a positive difference in my hair?
All of our products were created to compliment each other. Although we do recommend that you use the whole Hydratherma Naturals product Collection to achieve the finest results, all of our individual products have extreme conditioning properties. Therefore, you will notice
great results with our individual products.
Are your products 100% natural?
Our products are natural based, meaning they contain many natural ingredients. They are not 100% natural. Some of our products do contain cleansing agents and preservatives. Preservatives will prolong the shelf life of the products and prevent bacterial or fungal growth. We use Germall Plus to preserve our products. We do not use parabens. Yes, our products are safe and gentle for use on your whole family.
How long do I have to use Hydratherma Naturals to see results?
If used as directed, you should see positive results in 4-6 weeks. Your hair will be softer, well moisturized and stronger.
How often should I use Hydratherma Naturals, Moisturizing Growth Lotion?
The moisturizer should be used daily and immediately after washing and conditioning the hair. Only a dime sized portion is necessary. A little goes a long way with this lotion. Saturating the hair is not necessary.
How often should I shampoo my hair with Hydratherma Naturals, Detangling Moisture Plus Shampoo?
You should shampoo your hair every five to seven days to maintain moisture in the hair. Remember water is the highest form of moisture and our hair needs this. Don't worry about "drying your hair out'" with the frequent shampoos. Hydratherma Naturals Detangling Moisture Plus Shampoo infuses your hair with the moisture that it needs to prevent breakage.
How often should I clarify my hair with Hydratherma Naturals, Amino Clarifying Shampoo?
We suggest that you use the Hydratherma Naturals, Amino Clarifying Shampoo weekly as your first lather shampoo - prior to using the Hydratherma Naturals, Detangling Moisture Plus Shampoo which would be your second lather shampoo. This product is not harsh. It is important to gently remove residue and product build-up on the hair shaft / scalp prior to deep conditioning. After removing the residue from the hair shaft, you hair will readily be able to absorb moisture from deep conditioning.
Which treatment is best for my hair....Hydratherma Naturals, Moisturizing Conditioning Treatment or the Hydratherma Naturals, Protein Amino Plus Conditioning Treatment?
Both. It is very crucial to maintain a good moisture / protein balance with your hair. Although it is extremely essential to moisturize your hair with a good deep moisturizing conditioner, it is also important to instill protein into the hair shaft. Protein will help to strengthen the hair. We recommend alternating the moisturizing conditioning treatment with the protein conditioning treatmant every other week after shampooing.
How do I use the Hydratherma Naturals, Hair Growth Oil?
The Hydratherma Naturals, Hair Growth Oil can be used in multiple ways.
-Apply a small amount of oil to the scalp and massage into scalp for 5 minutes. May rinse out or leave in. May be done daily. According to renowned Trichologist Dr. Philip Kingsley, "Regular scalp massages can boost hair growth by 5 percent." (Ladies Home Journal, Oct. 2007) Typically the hair grows 1/4 to 1/2 inch per month but warm oil scalp massages do encourage hair growth by stimulating blood flow to the hair follicles.
- As a pre-poo oil treatment. Just saturate the hair with oil from root to tip. Place plastic cap on hair and sit under dryer for 15 min. If you don't want to sit under the dryer, you may leave the oil on your hair as long as you want to. For example, 2 hrs or even leave the oil in the hair overnight. After the oil treatment, shampoo and deep condition as usual.
- As a scalp treatment. Our scalp needs to be well moisturized also. Warm oil slightly, apply to scalp with an applicator bottle and massage scalp. May shampoo immediately after or leave in for overnight for better results.
- With regular styling. You may apply hair oil (5 - 6 drops) daily - prior to regular styling. I would suggest using the Hydratherma Naturals Moisturizing Growth Lotion first and follow up with the Hydratherma Naturals Hair Growth Oil to seal in the moisture.
- Can be used after shampooing the hair (saturate the hair with oil and leave in for a 5-10 minutes) - prior to deep conditioning. Please rinse the hair well before deep conditioning.
- After deep conditioning oil may be added to the hair (only 5 - 6 drops) prior to styling / roller-setting etc.

I am Caucasian. Can I use these products or will these products weigh my hair down?
Yes. Our products were created for thirsty hair that is in need of moisture. Anyone can possess dry and over-processed hair. Therefore, Hydratherma Naturals Healthy Hair Care Products can be used on all hair types.
I have problems with my thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism) and take medication for it. My hair is shedding. Will your product stop this?
If you have a medical condition, there may be other underlying problems which may prevent hair growth and cause shedding. Certain medications may cause hair shedding and impede hair growth. We suggest that you consult your physician.
Do I have to sit under the hair dryer to deep condition my hair with the Hydratherma Naturals, Conditioning Treatments?
Hydratherma Naturals conditioning treatments can be used as instant conditioners but to receive the most advantageous results, we suggest that you apply the conditioning treatment to your hair, cover with a plastic cap and sit under the dryer for 10 to 20 minutes. This will allow the conditioners to deeply penetrate the hair shaft.
How many inches will your product help my hair to grow?
All hair grows 1/4 to 1/2 inch per month. The crucial issue is retaining length. If your hair is growing 1/2 inch per month and you hair is breaking off at the same rate due to dryness, you will not retain length. Although your hair is growing, it is also breaking. When this happens, we may think that our hair is not growing. The only way to prevent this growth / breakage cycle is to keep you hair 'ends' in great shape. The main way to do this is to keep your hair well moisturized while supplying the hair with just enough protein to maintain hair strength. Will Hydratherma Naturals mend my split ends?
Regardless of what you hear, no product will mend your split ends. Products that claim to mend split ends only give the hair a smooth and finished look but this is only temporary. The split ends are still there. The only way to get rid of split ends is to cut them off.
I have locs. Can I use Hydratherma Hair Care Products?
Oh yes! Locked hair needs to be moisturized and deep conditioned also. Nothing looks better that locs which are beautiful, shiny and healthy.
Can I use Hydratherma Naturals if I wear hair extensions?
Yes. While wearing hair extensions it is extremely necessary to take care of our natural hair. A good moisturizing and deep conditioning regime should continue while wearing hair extensions.
